SUPPORT

Reinforcing our Commitment

With local programs like Planned Parenthood's The Curve for LGBTQ+ youth and support groups for allies like the York's Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG), we recognized a gap that needed filled. Our main initiative at Spectrum York is to promote connection within the young adult (ages 21-40) LGBTQ+ community.

By creating a safe space, we can freely talk about our experiences and concerns, celebrate in one another's joys, and provide support for our sorrows both individual and communal.

By connecting with one another, we can promote education and alliances amongst ourselves. We can expand our social and professional network We can relax with friends both new and old.

We hope you can and choose to join us on the first Tuesdays and/or third Saturdays of the month. We gather around 7PM and disperse at about 9PM at 950 S. Duke St. York, PA 17403.

The Sun Room is a handicap accessible space that provides views of our natural grounds, including a near-centennial beech tree and outdoor labyrinth. The Carriage House has all-gender restrooms for those who need a place to change. The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of York provides sanctuary for all, opening its doors to all genders, sexual orientations, religious creeds, nationalities, and race.
